Following feedback from customers in the livestock sector, we have introduced Pro’Cellum Plus – an optimised version of Pro’Cellum K, our premium keratin hydrolysate ingredient for feed applications.
The new formulation delivers improved stability, a longer shelf life and a refined odour profile, making the product more pleasant to use and even more suitable for demanding livestock applications — particularly in pig nutrition.
Pro’ Cellum Plus is produced in our dedicated facility in Dendermonde, Belgium, from purified chicken feathers, offering a sustainable, local protein source. The raw material is intensively hydrolysed under high pressure, resulting in a liquid ingredient with high protein content, no fat and very low ash, while ensuring exceptional digestibility (>97%) and a very high level of product safety.
The product is poultry-dedicated and contains only chicken DNA, ensuring full raw material traceability and consistency.
Its stable composition and low viscosity allow straightforward incorporation into wet feed formulations, without the need for formula adjustments. In addition, its savoury profile supports feed palatability in practical use.
The product is stabilised with an organic acid, contributing to its enhanced shelf life and overall stability — one of the key improvements introduced in this new version.
